Welcome to the Woodcroft Nursery School Website

We hope that browsing through our website will give you a sense of what a very special place to play, discover and learn Woodcroft Nursery school is.

Our popular and well established, Maintained Nursery School opened as London Road Nursery School in central Chelmsford in 1946 and moved to Great Baddow in 1997.

We offer excellent facilities and stimulating challenges both inside and out at Woodcroft, Little Woodcroft and our Family Groups. 

At Woodcroft we provide 15 hours of term time government-funded nursery education for all 3 – 5 year olds and 30 hours for working families who meet the criteria, as well as reasonably priced wrap- around care from 07.45 to 17.45 if needed.

At Little Woodcroft we offer morning, afternoon or all day places for funded two year olds as well as paid for places, which can include wrap-around care too.

Our highly qualified and experienced teachers and nursery practitioners are passionate about nurturing children, encouraging them to be curious and inquisitive learners and to achieve all they can.
