Department for Education 11th May 2020
There have been a many of new government documents issued in the last forty-eight hours, that need thorough consideration and we are looking, very carefully, at the way forward. Woodcroft must be as safe a place as it can possibly be for our children, our staff and our community. We are working ensure that we put in place every possible measure to keep our children and staff safe as they begin to return and to ensure that the highest standards of safety can be maintained.
Some of the standard safety measures are clearly less viable Early Years Settings than others. We are talking with our colleagues in the Early Years sector to make sure we have a shared understanding of best practice. We are also anticipating more guidance from the Department for Education in the coming weeks. Woodcroft staff welcome the thoughts of our parents of our parents, governors and friends.
We will continue to keep in touch with you all.
“As a result of the huge efforts everyone has made to adhere to strict social distancing measures, the transmission rate of coronavirus (COVID-19) has decreased. We therefore anticipate, with further progress, that we may be able, from the week commencing 1 June 2020 to welcome back more children to early years,”
